La premiación anual a lo mejor de los videojuegos durante el 2015 ya tiene a todos los nominados en cada categoría.
Hace apenas unos días The Game Awards confirmaba oficialmente la fecha en que se llevará a cabo. El próximo 3 de diciembre en el Microsoft Theater de Los Ángeles, a partir de las 8:00 pm —hora de la Ciudad de México— dara inicio la ceremonia que podremos disfrutar a través de Twitch, YouTube, Steam, PlayStation Network, Wii U, Xbox Live y Go90,
Geoff Keighley —el responsable de que este evento se lleve a cabo— ha compartido hoy la lista completa de los nominados a las diferentes categorías, todos elegidos por 32 personalidades de la prensa especializada de todo el mundo. Los juegos elegidos deben haber salido al mercado antes del 24 de noviembre para ser considerados. Mientras que las categorías de eSports se eligieron gracias a un panel de 10 especialistas internacionales.
Sin duda la categoría más importante es la de Game of the Year, conformada por Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Super Mario Maker y The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Consistentemente los 5 desarrolladores de estos juegos —FromSoftware, Bethesda Game Studios, Kojima Productions, Nintendo y CD Projekt Red respectivamente— están nominados para Developer of the Year.
Hay 6 categorías en las que los fans tendrán poder absoluto para decidir quién es el ganador: eSports Game of the Year, Best Fan Creation, Trending Gamer, eSports Team of the Year, eSports Player of the Year y Most Anticipated Game.
En general esta lista nos da un panorama bastante claro de lo más trascendente en el año, lista que domina The Withcer 3: Wild Hunt con 7 nominaciones, seguido por Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain con 5 nominaciones. También encontramos sorpresas como Halo 5: Guardians —juego que muchos al principio del año esperaban pudiera dar la batalla como juego del año— que tiene el mismo número de nominaciones que Rocket League, el título independiente que cautivó a los jugadores por su innovador concepto y divertida jugabilidad.
